Yes. We file paper claims and electronic claims where possible.
Up to top Do you accept our insurance?
The dental office of Godwin & Miller does not participate with any insurance companies. If you dental plan allows you to go to any dentist you decide, and you don't have to chose a dentist from a particular list, in most cases we will process your insurance.
We advise all patients who are not certain to contact their own insurance company to confirm whether the treatments at our office will be covered or not. If you are covered by these insurance companies you will pay at the time of treatment, and we will provide the information for you to file to collect your own benefits.
Up to top How does the patient pay on the first visit?
If all of the patient's insurance information is in order (name, address, group number, phone number, etc.) then the patient only has to pay the copayment at the first visit. If these things are not in order, then the patient must pay the full treatment fee at the first visit.
Up to top How does the patient pay on subsequent visits?
If the patient's insurance is in order and the office has had no problems filing the insurance at the past visits then the patient is responsible only for his/her copayment at the time of the visit.
Up to top Besides insurance reimbursement what other payment options do patients have?
We accept cash, personal checks, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, and CareCredit.
Up to top What is CareCredit?
CareCredit is a flexible patient/client payment program, specifically designed for healthcare expenses, that makes it easier for you to get the treatment or procedures you want and need. CareCredit is ideal for co-payments, deductibles, treatment and procedures not covered by insurance.

Up to top At what age do the doctors begin seeing children?
We recommend that children begin regular check-up visits to the dentists once they are three years old. At this age they are usually mature enough not to be overwhelmed by all the dental equipment, they can better understand the treatment processes, and all of their baby teeth have erupted.
Up to top Are children allowed in the operatories while parents are being treated?
We prefer that children do not accompany their parents into the operatories. We have this policy to protect the children from the equipment present and certain strong chemicals that we use daily, ie: Heat sterilizers, x-ray equipment and sterilizing chemicals. Also, we find that it is best if a parent is having a very complex treatment where blood may be present that the child not be in the room. However, we understand the unforeseeable situations that arise when a parent must bring a child. If this occurs we ask that also you bring something to occupy your child's interest so that he or she can sit quietly while treatment is in progress.
