Crowns A crown is an excellent way to restore a weakened or damaged tooth. It can support a large filling, attach a
bridge, cover an implant, or restore a fractured tooth. A badly shaped or discolored tooth may also be covered
with a crown to enhance appearance. The procedure: In preparation, some of the outer part of the tooth is removed. An impression is made,
providing an exact model of the tooth. While the permanent crown is being made from the model, a temporary
crown is placed on the tooth. Finally, the permanent crown is put in place, and any necessary adjustments are
made. |
